January's Mommy Memo is brought to us by: Trisha Mihalik of Corinth. Mother of 2 girls TIPS I have two beautiful daughters 9months & 2.5 years so my tip relates to babies from my mother When you are running around stressed to the max and just want these kids to be self sufficient…. l STOP for a minute and enjoy the chaos, you will blink and they will be 10 and you will be wishing for them to be toddling and crawling around! J It is so clique’ but it goes by way too fast LAUGHS Pretty Pretty Potty - My 2 year old, Mallory, began asking about going potty so we decided to go get her a little potty. I sent my hubby to Target to get one and he came home with the CUTEST pink princess potty that looks like a throne and sings when you go on it!! Mallory was thrilled and immediately said she needed to go and closed herself in the bathroom. Finally she emerged TOTALLY naked and announced that she had pooped! Brian and I ran to the bathroom with pride only to find that our darling daughter had pooped NEXT TO the potty!!! We asked her why she did not go IN the potty and she looked at us and said “Mommy, Daddy, My potty too pretty to poop in!!” Inspiring side note – at 2.5 years Mallory it completely potty trained and now goes in not only her pink princess but the big girl one as well J EATS TACO SOUP – SO QUICK – SO EASY - & SO YUMMY!!!! 1lb ground beef 1 onion chopped 1 pkg taco seasoning 1 can kernel corn w/ liquid 1 can kidney beans w/ liquid 1 can rotel 1 can chili beans 2 cans stewed tomatoes Throw it in the crock pot all day – serve with cheese and sour cream!!! This ROCKS on cold days and gets better as it sits so it is great for nights when you do not know when Daddy will make it home!
